Big Boi (Outkast) Talks Dr Dre, Thom Pettie that Ho, Pimp C, Little Dragon + More
Exclusive in-depth interview with Big Boi (One Half of the Mighty Outkast). While on set filming music video for Apple Of My Eye, Big Boi talks to Nick Huff Barili. Part 1 starts with Big sharing why Dr. Dre's Chronic album is one of his favorites. Sir Lucious Left Foot recalls getting a serious ass whoopin when his Mom caught him listening to Eazy E and 2 Live Crew. Big shares the scheme him and Andre 3000 had when they were young to get free cds. The conversation transitions to the meaning behind name of the new album, Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors (VLADR) ,which Big Boi attributes to his grandmother (you will have to see the interview to hear the whole story). Big goes on to explain what Thom Pettie that hoe means, why he wasn't afraid to get vulnerable on She Hates Me, what the creative process was with Little Dragon in the studio, how he ended up with a Pimp C verse (RIP), and what his favorite verse on the album is.
