Hard Knock Hoops 2016 SXSW: Dorrough, Drummaboy, Audio Push, Earthgang, Boogie + More

On the heels of its 9th successful Hard Knock Hoops tournament where J Cole’s Dreamville team beat Trinidad James’s Goldgang to bring home the championship in LA, Hard Knock TV and Hard Knock Hoops were ready to celebrate tournament number 10. The stage was set in Austin, Tx where SXSW was celebrating its 30th year of the historic conference.  As artists, press and influencers walked in to the private gym on a beautiful Saturday morning, they were gifted with a package that contained customized Hard Knock Hoops uniforms and D Lillard 2.0 Static shoes courtesy of adidas. All the friendly banter that was going on throughout the week was about to be put to the test on the court. Not only were players battling for bragging rights but the winners were going home with a Call of Duty: Black Ops III Limited Edition PlayStation 4 bundle.

After 2 hours of competitive games, Dorrough Music and his squad beat Drumma Boy and his squad in the championship game to take home the coveted price.  This was the second time in three years that Dorrough, DJ Hella Yella and company have claimed the title of Hard Knock Hoops Champs in Austin.
