Dave East talks Islam, Trump, Don’t Shoot, Found A Way, Not Glorifying Street Life, Playing with KD

Hard Knock Tv’s Nick Huff Barili sits down with Dave East for in-depth interview at Truth Studios. In part 2, Dave talks about converting to Islam while in jail and Trump’s ignorance towards the Muslim community. Dave also talks about playing aau with Kevin Durant but eventually giving up his dreams of hooping. As the interview continues Dave gives us insight into a song from his last mixtape Kairi Chanel called “Don’t Shoot” which deals with police misconduct and being afraid of being shot unjustly. Its important for Dave East not glorifying street life and because he wants better for his fans. Dave explains that people who really have gone through it don’t want other people to go through that pain.
