www.hardknock.tv Exclusive in-depth interview with all four members of Slaugherhouse (Crooked I, Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz and Royce da 5’9″). In part 1 of this interview Nick Huff Barili asks Slaughterhouse about the new album and if they are looking to make it more introspective than their previous group album, which was extremely lyrical but lacked some of the more personal insight that made them stand out as solo artists. All four members said that you can expect a lot more personal material in the album and that you have to keep in mind that their previous album had to be done in 6 days with a stripped down budget. Slaughterhouse explain how the Shady deal is different than their previous label deals and elaborate on how they see Eminem’s Role in the project. While the group says that there aren’t full tracks done yet for the album, some skeletals have been built and they have had Jam session with Em. While they haven’t had a chance to work with Yelawolf creatively too much they have got a chance to rock a couple shows together which has helped them build a camaraderie as Shady label mates. Nick brought up Joe Buddens’ twitter post about Frank Ocean’s Novocain song and immediately the group started laughing. Royce says he liked the song too but didn’t want to hear it 80 times in a row (Royce and Joe were roommates for the tour).
