In-depth interview with Bay Area artist, Clyde Carson, at his studio in Hollywood. In this audio interview, Clyde Carson starts off talking with @CellyontheTelly about how it’s easier for independent artists now to push the same amount of units as mainstream artists. He then talks about helping pioneer the Hyphy Movement along with Keak Da Sneak + other artists in the Bay, and how regions have music movements. Clyde goes on to say he is honored how younger artists like Sage The Gemini pay homage to his sound, and have adapted some elements of it.Clyde shares his mindset into making his Playboy EP and how he will always keeps the funk in his music, with songs like “No Sleep“. Carson elaborates on how important it was for him to keep the Intro and Outro of the album as theme music, and explains how he got that idea from artists like Andre Nickatina and DJ Quik.
